Let's talk Thank you cards! I know many of you may think that this is a daunting task, but it can be done with ease with the right preparations. First, order your thank you cards when you order your invitations. If you are the diy bride, Microsoft Office has some pretty cool templates that you can download for free. Having these readily available will make the process easier. Next, make a list of each person's name and the gift that they give you and start writing your thank you notes as gifts are sent to you and check them off your list. Some guest will send gifts before your wedding day to your home after they've received their invitation. It's a great idea to tackle those at that time if you can. After your wedding, it's best to try to get your thank you notes out in about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. Add to your list the names and gifts that you received from the wedding and start writing your notes after a week or two following your honeymoon. Lastly, make goals to write X amount of notes each day. This is not a task to try and get done in one setting. When you make a goal to write so many each day, it makes it easier on you. Remember, this is your way of showing your appreciation for the gifts that you've received so make your notes personable. Thank the person by using their name and mention the gift that was given.. This will make them feel really appreciated! :) Thanks for tuning in and good luck! ~Happy Planning
